Susanna and Caroline are interviewing people for their film.
A girl is found mangled beyond recognition. A man in a cloak
comes running through the club.
Davis and Joseph help them investigate at a party in an abandoned
chemical warehouse in Oakland. A young man accidentally kills
his friend while under the influence of GHB.
Since they have been witnessing acts of violence, apparently
caused by GHB; something is wrong with the drug. When Joseph
has his own supply tested and there is nothing wrong with it.
He buys some from Mira. While using that supply he hits Caroline
and she accidentally stabs him with a carving knife. They split
up, and a test reveals that the GHB is mixed with Ecstasy, and
could cause brain damage. Joseph forces Mira to admit that her
boss, Mike Burnhill, is the supplier of the GHB. Joseph tells
the others, and they plan to go after Mike Burnhill.
During a party at Susanna and Caroline's loft, Mira's gruesomely
murdered body is discovered in the bathtub. Len Kai, a SFPD
detective, has stationed men outside the building. When Susanna's
film aired on TV, she put out a plea for help finding the killer,
and Len has been assigned to the case.
Graham, a guest, did the murders, while using GHB. Joseph is
certain Mike Burnhill is behind the making of the tainted GHB.
The group go to Burnhill's warehouse the following night. They
are followed by Len and his girlfriend. Len he falls and sprains
his ankle. Burnhilll discovers the others and chases them up
to the roof -- where he stuns Joseph with his gun, but falls
off the roof and kills himself. Joseph and Len are taken to the hospital.
